One of the world's leading shopping center organizations - a vertically integrated group of companies involved in funding, creating and managing a global portfolio of regional and super- regional shopping centers was on aggressive growth schedule.This company serves as developer, architect, builder, property manager and funds manager for a $17.9 billion portfolio of 109 shopping centers in four countries that comprise almost 90 million square feet of retail space and include 16,600 retailers. With their vast growth, management cost justified a global implementation of JD Edwards. With just one module in place, the CIO realized their internal resources would be strained with a full global implementation. He came to Thor for help.

Thor met with the CIO to discuss our expertise in dealing with JDE installations. We reviewed his current implementation and his goal of global deployment. Using our in-depth consultative approach to identify business challenges and recommend matching business solutions, we thoroughly and accurately outlined their needs and compiled a comprehensive plan of action at a significant cost reduction. It was determined that a new position within the company should be created entitled “Director of Global Applications”.
